Today in Prep made a advertisement and we also brainstormed ideas of packaging. I think we made a lot of progress since our first prep report, we will be selling our candles at my schools market day on the 4th of december. Here is my small poster that will be placed on my table at the market day.
Today in prep we worked on thinking up prices and deals for our candles also we made a poster of our logo, prices/deals, how me made the candles/ ingredients. Here is our poster
Today in prep i've been making candles. The candles worked well and we made 20 candles which we are planning to sell for 1.50 each. here is a picture of one each of my candles because I made 2 different types of candles. Beeswax and crayon coloured candles.
Today in prep I finally brought my materials to make mine and jovahn's candles....We spent all of the period between morning tea and lunch, making only 2 candles which came out looking a bit deformed and they were a bit of a failure, so I think i'm going to make the candles at home with a microwave instead of a hot plate. ( and i should make an effort to put paper underneath my candles)
Today in report I worked out a time i could go into my schools lab so i can make candles and get ready to sell them. Jovahn was sick so i wasn't able to talk to him about some things about our candles. Anyway that's what i have to report for this week.
While in prep class this year I've been designing a product with my friend jovahn to sell at my schools market day in early december. Me and jovahn have planned to make multi coloured candles with old crayons which are recycled from the primary school across the road from my school. Here is a picture of our logo (Note that it is a work in progress) .
